PLACED AT ORACLE

Well , well , well .... placement season in one of the premier institutes of India isn't a joke !! After being placed in WIPRO VLSI in tier 3 , i had a chance to write a company from tier 2 . This time it was a database company .. ORACLE ... They have initial test online ... I tell you guys , it was damn tough and i never ever though i would ever make it to the next round ... But , a shocker !!! I was shortlisted !!! May be it was a biiiiiig blunder that they had committed !! but it was me !! i had been shortlisted ..... I was shivering like cold donkey !! Interview would be tough i thought ... I hadn't even attended their pre placement talk thinking i would never get selected . But i had to fill in some details that i never knew abt .. I had to fill in my PREFERENCE branch in their company !!! I thought .. were they asking abt the place i was preferred !! At a right time , came a friend of mine and guided me telling tht it was the branch like consultancy , development and applications that i had to select . Haha ... "i knew tht" , i told him and started writing whatever he had written .
Next round was interview !!! BIGGEST hurdle to clear . Being an EC student , how could i ever clear an interview of a database company which expected us to know about SQL and things like that . First round was HR .... Thank god , i thought !! I am a very good speaker , i spoke very emotionally and never lose the opportunity to advertise myself . I did just that and they were impressed !! They said " your theories are very good . can never be implemented !! Who knows what kind of boss you may get !!!" .. i thought " well if you say so !!! " .... But , i said i had a power to adapt myself to any situation . They said," your basics is weak .. "... i replied " it is all about exposure we have to the topics and there is nothing like basics . " .. i said " if you want to make an apple pie from the scratch you have to start by creating the universe first " ... they said good ... and i got thro to second round !!
Second round was TECHNICALS , right ??? wrong guys !!! second round was HR itself !! HAHA ... this time they concentrated on my hobbies !! i had written directing plays ( in my resume) as my hobby ... They asked me my favorite director !! It had to be shankar ( director of anniyan , hindustani , sivaji , jeans etc ... ) . They were cool and listened to my crapping and they got impressed again i guess !!! Third round !!! here i come ...... Third round had to be Technicals ....
Wrong again ....... third round was HR again .... bullshit !!! I was asked the question " tell me about yourself" thrice during all the three rounds of interview . I was really pleased with the lady who asked me the questions . She was tired and asked me three questions ...

A special words of appreciation to my best buddies Sharath , Raghavan , Ramakrishnakini , Vishwanathan , Rakesh and GALI who all had come to see the progress of mine . They were awesome !! You guys rock !!

Selected finally !!! I still wondered ... without having faced even a single Technical round of interview i got thro ORACLE ... Pay is 4.6 lakh per annum for freshers and it may go upto 5 lakh per annum .... It was a great experience ... I will always remember ORACLE which reminded me tht i was never the best , because of the tough online apti test . I will always strive to achieve the best by working better !! It has instilled a sense of pride and also a sense of being incomplete .

P.S : i was never a big fan of ORACLE ...
